Describe a useful piece of technology

I consider myself a technophile, so going a day without utilizing technical equipment, particularly my smartphone, is difficult for me.

It was a gift from my parents to congratulate me on graduating from high school four years ago, and it has come in useful ever since. It was the most recent Android phone at the time, with plenty of amazing apps and functionalities, but no one ever taught me how to use it properly. When the screen went blank or the program failed to operate, I had to use Google search to investigate and debug my phone. My phone is always with me, and even though I know it’s bad for my eyesight, I can’t stop myself from using it every day for more than 6 hours. I can’t dispute that this multipurpose equipment has had a significant impact on my life, both favorably and adversely. I no longer need dictionaries, notebooks, cameras, music players, or televisions since I can search up new terms, take notes, take photographs, listen to music, and watch movies on the screen of my phone.

In addition to replacing a hefty, large laptop, my pocket-sized phone allows me to generate and modify documents while on the go. Furthermore, thanks to online shopping and alerts of exceptional discounts, I save a lot of time and money visiting stores. The disadvantage is that I am slightly overly reliant on it. If my phone’s battery dies unexpectedly or if I leave it at home while I’m out and about, I may feel insecure and lonely. This phone has really aided my career and studies, but I am considering minimizing my use of it for my own well-being.

Technology has altered our society in terms of how we earn a living and communicate with one another. It has also altered our “mobility“. We no longer rely on a single source of income because of technology, and as a result, society has become more “affluent” than in the past. Another significant shift that has occurred in our society for the better is that we may go to any location at any time without wasting time. Furthermore, with the growth of information technology such as the internet and cellphones, my modest society suddenly feels like it has become a part of a “much larger global community.”

For example, prior to the introduction of contemporary technology, we used to go to a local grocery store to buy our food, which was undoubtedly beneficial to our health and intellect.
